The Wildkart Floating Brake Disc Rotor Carrier is designed for use with WILDKART BRAKE DISCS and self-adjusting brake systems. A floating rotor helps prevent disc binding and reduces brake pad drag by allowing the rotor to move slightly as it expands, flexes, or develops minor runout during operation.
Since self-adjusting calipers keep the brake pads in close proximity to the rotor, any disc flex or runout can cause unwanted pad contact and drag. The floating design minimizes this effect, helping improve free-rolling performance and braking consistency.
Recommended for use with WILDKART BRAKE DISCS. Some European brake discs may fit with minor modification, provided they utilize a 114mm center-to-center mounting pattern measured across opposing mounting holes.
