Genuine Birel ART / Freeline rear brake shim for racing karts equipped with the CX-I28 rear brake system.
This 135mm shim is available in 0.5mm and 1.0mm thicknesses, allowing the rear brake assembly spacing to be adjusted as the brake pads wear. Select the required thickness before adding it to your cart.
Setup Recommendation: We generally recommend using mostly, if not all, 0.5mm shims. The thinner shims allow the brake spacing to be adjusted gradually as the pads wear. A 1.0mm shim changes the spacing by a larger step, which may be more adjustment than needed at one time.
